DiskScope application data

DiskScope processes scan information on the user's Windows computer. File contents and scan results are not uploaded to Nova Labs. No cloud account is required. Paths, sizes, file types, folder totals, access errors, and related scan metadata may be retained in a local SQLite database so the application can display and export results.

Retention and deletion

Local results remain until the user clears them through DiskScope or removes the application's local data folder. Files sent to the Recycle Bin are managed by Windows and remain subject to Windows Recycle Bin settings.

Website and downloads

The download service temporarily processes IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamps, and security tokens to enforce rate limits and prevent hotlinking. Rate-limit records expire after approximately one hour. The site does not require advertising cookies or an analytics account. Standard web-server logs may be retained by the hosting provider for security and operations.
